Getting started with Online Ordering
The guide contains some simple steps and tips to activate Online Order (includes both Ancon Order and Whitelabel). Ancon Order and Whitelabel are available both as an app & web service.
ℹ️Introduction
Getting started with Online Ordering in Ancon Cloud is easy—but before you begin configuring the settings, it’s a good idea to plan how you want your online ordering system to work.
Consider the following questions:
What types of orders do you want to offer (dine-in, takeout, delivery, table service)?
How will guests pay—by card, Swish, or perhaps Klarna?
Do you want guests to order via the website, the Ancon Order app, or both?
Once you have these elements in place, it will be easier to set your operating hours, activate the right order types, and make your products available online.
Description of Order Types
When guests order online, they can choose between different order types. Here are the available options and how they’re used:
🍴Dine-in – For guests who eat on-site and pick up their order at the designated location.
🛍️ Takeout – For guests who want to order food for pickup.
🚗 Delivery – For restaurants that offer home delivery (you are responsible for the delivery yourself).
🍽️ Table ordering – Guests order via QR codes on the tables linked to their respective table numbers. Ideal when you serve food directly at the table.

Test your online order
1. Find your restaurant
Go to anconorder.com and search for your restaurant in the search bar.
2. Test the ordering flow
Go through the entire order step by step:
Select order type (e.g., Dine-in, Takeout, Delivery)
Add items to the cart
Check that images, prices, and descriptions are displayed correctly
Proceed to checkout and verify that the payment options work as intended
💡 Tip
: If you don’t want to accept real payments during the test, you can temporarily use test products with lower prices.
3. Share links and QR codes
Once everything looks good, you’re ready to share your online ordering system with guests.
You can:
Link directly to your online ordering system from your website or social media
Generate a QR code that leads directly to the ordering page (perfect for menus, signs, and tables)
Direct customers to the Ancon Order app on the App Store and Google Play
💡 Tip
: Be sure to test on both desktop and mobile to ensure the experience works equally well everywhere.
🛠️ Maintenance Mode
If you’re not ready to start selling online or want to temporarily pause online orders—for example, during a menu update or technical maintenance—you can activate Maintenance Mode. The restaurant will then be temporarily hidden in Ancon Order.
