Manage open notes in POS, Bar and Table mode
This guide shows you how to manage open notes in POS in both bar mode and table mode. It provides step-by-step instructions for viewing notes, adding or removing items, applying discounts at the note or item level, and naming notes. The functions are largely similar between the modes, but table mode also includes tools for courses.
Bar Mode: Manage orders at the bar
In bar mode, you work with bills directly at the register, often for quick orders. Here you can select products, add them to a bill, and manage details.
Add products to a bill
Select products: Use the menu groups on the right side of the screen to browse products, or search for them in the search bar above the menu groups.
Add a product: Tap the product. If no bill is open, a new one is created automatically and the product is added. Otherwise, it is added to the active bill.
Add multiple items of the same product:
Tap "Numpad," enter the quantity (e.g., 10), and then tap the product. If the product has variants or options, an interface opens where you can configure each item separately—add kitchen notes, copy settings, or delete.
Alternatively: Tap the product multiple times to increase the quantity one at a time.
Edit or delete items on the bill
Tap the product (bill line) on the bill to edit.
Increase or decrease quantity: Use the + or - buttons. If the quantity reaches 0, the product disappears from the bill.
Additional options under "Bill line": Tap "Bill line" for more options:
Kitchen note: Add a note that will be sent to the kitchen with the receipt.
Change price: Set your own amount for the item.
Discount: Apply a custom percentage discount to the item.
Assign to dish: Link the item to a dish (primarily used for table bills).
Edit: Change variants or add-ons.
Delete: Delete the entire line item.
Manage the entire bill (bill options)
Tap "Bill" to access these features:
Split (link): Opens the split view where you can split the bill by items or dishes based on the number of guests.
Move: Move the bill to another table.
Bill Name: Give the bill a custom name to distinguish it from others.
Bill Number: Set a custom number instead of the automatic one.
Discount: Apply a discount to the entire bill—use predefined discounts from Backoffice, a custom percentage discount, or remove an existing discount.
Delete: Delete the entire bill. NOTE: Cannot be done if the bill is partially paid.
Create new bills and view info
New bill: Tap "+ New bill" or "+" if a bill is already active.
Bill info: Tap "Info" on the selected bill to view the bill history and change the bill owner.
Change bill type (Dine-in / Takeout)
Above the products: Tap "Dine-in" (blue) to switch to "Takeout" (purple), or vice versa.
Table mode: Manage bills by table
In table mode, you work with tables and bills linked to them. The functionality is similar to bar mode, but with an extra focus on dishes to manage meals in courses (e.g., appetizer, main course).
Selecting a table and creating bills
Select a table on the screen.
New bill: Tap "+ New bill" (or "+" if bills already exist).
Open table: Tap "Open Table x" to view and manage bills at the table, including adding items.
Add products and manage items
Same as in bar mode: Select products via menu groups or search, add using the numpad for multiples, edit with +/−, and use "Noted" for kitchen messages, price changes, discounts, etc.
Manage courses
This is unique to table mode and helps organize orders for the kitchen.
Add a product to a course: Tap "Bill" > "Courses" > Select a course (e.g., Appetizer) > Select product.
Change the course for an item: Tap the bill row > "Change Course" or "Assign Course" to move the item to a different course.
Advance to the next course: Tap "Bill" > "Next Course" to advance the next course on the bill to the kitchen (e.g., from appetizer to main course).
Other bill options
Same as in bar mode: Split, Move, Bill Name, Receipt Number, Discount, Delete, and Info for history and owner.
